Muscadine Grape ‘Scuppernong’

Deciduous fruiting vine with deep green foliage. Vigorous vine produces an abundance of medium-sized, light green berries with excellent flavor late summer to early fall. ‘Scuppernong’ is a female variety that requires a self-fruitful variety for pollination. Plant in home orchards or over backyard arbors, espaliers, and fences.

‘Scuppernong’ has a rich history tied to early American settlers. A North Carolina native grape, it was named after the town and river of Scuppernong and may be the oldest native grape still being grown.
